#CHSOCM: The Underside of Christmas

The Topic: The Underside of Christmas.
How do we understand and engage Christmas from the underside?

This week's (12/15/15) chat moderated by Jason Chesnut (@crazypastor)

T1: Let’s check in first. On the eve of this holy season of Christmas, how are you doing? How are you feeling?
T2: What aspects of Advent/Christmas excite you, energize you, give you/your community hope?
T2a: So. What about the aspects that frustrate you/your community about this time?
T3: How do we fully engage our communities in the essence of Advent/Christmas with those who celebrate it…and those who dread it?
T4: Bible time! What pieces from our biblical story illustrate for us how Christmas is a story for both the joy- and sorrow-filled?

For Your Listening Pleasure: The 12 Days of Christmas

Behold! This playlist is a gift to our #chsocm chat community from Steve Kenow (@skenow), a longtime and active chat participant.  Some comments from Steve:

The liturgical season of Christmas lasts 12 days, from December 25th through January 5th, with Epiphany starting on January 6th.

To support my own reflections during this season, I created a playlist on YouTube and scheduled a series of tweets for each of the 12 days.

You're invited to explore the wonder of Christmas, one day at a time for the next 12 days, using the traditional carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Here are some background pieces about the carol: The Twelve Days of Christmas and Claims about Coded References.
