Sharing Resources on the Topic of Love

Editor note: Here's a follow-up post from Paul Steinbrueck (@paulsteinbrueck) who moderated Tuesday's chat. He invites suggestions for links. Let's respond!

Tuesday evening I had the pleasure of moderating the #ChSocM chat.  We live in a world full of people longing for love, so for this week’s chat we talked about the great opportunity churches have to address the topic of love during the week leading up to Valentine’s Day – and where is social media in the mix. (See the transcript if you missed it)

Some of the opportunities mentioned by chat participants included:
  • Facilitating discussions about a Christian view of dating, relationships and marriage.
  • Facilitating discussions about how perfect, faithful, unconditional love can’t be found in another person, but can only come from God.
  • Bringing encouragement and comfort those experiencing pain, brokenness and loneliness.

I’m sure there are lots of blog posts, devotionals, videos, and other great content on these topics already created that could be shared via social media.  So, let’s help each other discover this great content that already exists.  Please post a comment with links to any relevant content you would recommend churches share.
